Yesterday we learned about how God takes care of all our needs by studying the life of Elijah. We saw how God provided for Elijah in three powerful instances: he sent him food in the desert via ravens, he didn’t allow the widow in Zarephath to run out of oil, and he raised that widow’s son from the dead. God provides for all our needs!
Read I Kings 17:1-24. The entire chapter speaks to the power of God working in Elijah’s life. That power is still at work today, and is available to us!
Uptown Memory Verse: “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
Downtown Memory Verse: “God will meet all my needs!” Philippians 4:19
Discuss with your kids the times that you have seen God work in your life, providing for your needs. Tell them how God has made Himself real in your life.
Pray for your kids. That they would recognize God as the one who gives us everything we have, and that they would have thankful hearts for all that He has done for them.
